Readers, here are bits of some programs from, mostly, other reading services.
Due to a geeky sort of thing which is a mystery to us, you will first have to use the link to “Log In” at the top of the page and sign in with username and password.
Then, click on the following audio files and then re-enter your password. So Sorry!
These audio files are intended only for our readers, so you’ll need to re-enter your password for each. Take some time to listen to them, and identify what you like or don’t like about them. Use the following points as guidelines for each:
- the reader’s voice
- the opening of the program (too long, too short, too wordy, just right, caught your attention)
- the phrasing
- the speed and pacing
- the overall presentation
- Would you enjoy listening to a half hour of this reader?
The readings are (and they’re all from a few years ago):
1 – News and Commentary from Gatewave, 1 min, 30 sec
2 – USA Today from Kansas, 2 min
3 – USA Today from Kansas, 34 sec
4 – The Funnypages from Mindseye, IL, 4 min
5 – National Enquirer from Virginia Voice, 2 min
