From the West Using I-64:
Take I-64 East to I-95 North toward Washington.
Take exit #81, Stay to the left on the exit ramp and go to
“Stop” sign. Turn left at the
“Stop” sign onto
Wilmer Avenue.
Go about one block to the stop light at Wilmer & Chamberlayne
and turn right onto Chamberlayne.
Go about one block to the next stoplight and turn left onto Azalea
Avenue.
On the right side of the 400 block of Azalea Avenue you will see the
complex for the Virginia Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired.
It is fronted by a grassy area, bordered by a white rail fence.
Turn right into the complex, and head toward the yellow speed bump. Do
not turn into any of the parking lots. When you get to the bump you can
look to the bottom of the hill and see another parking lot and the
corner of a building which was not visible from the main entrance. This
is the Library & Resource Center where Virginia Voice is
located.
During regular business hours the Library receptionist will direct you
to the Virginia Voice. After hours, ring the doorbell on the black box
to the left of the sliding glass doors and a staff member will speak to
you through the intercom and open the door.
From the West using I-295
Take I-295 East, to I-95 South.Take I-95 South to exit 82, Chamberlayne
Avenue (the second exit after you get on).
Proceed through the stoplight next to McDonald's. Continue straight on
Chamberlayne through the second stoplight at the intersection of Wilmer

64 West to I-95 North, follow the signs "to Washington" Do NOT get
sidetracked onto I-295. Stay on 64 West; it & 95 North become
the
same road for a short distance until 64 turns off on a left exit. Stay
on I-95 North.
